Dr. rer. nat. Wolfgang Otto

Dr. Wolfgang Otto is a senior data scientist at the University Department of Cardiac Surgery, Leipzig Heart Center.  After studying bioinformatics at the University of Jena, he received his doctorate from the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences on the topic of transcriptional regulatory elements – detection and evolutionary analysis. Before joining the Leipzig Heart Center, he conducted research at the Helmholtz Environmental Research Center, Leipzig and the Institute for Applied Training Science, Leipzig.
