Dr. Zara Dietze is a resident in cardiac surgery and critical care at the University Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Leipzig Heart Center since 2020. From 2019 to 2020, she was a research fellow at the University of Leipzig (Saxonian Incubator for Clinical Translation) in the group of Prof. Christian Etz. Dr. Dietze obtained her doctoral degree from the Leipzig University for experimental research on spinal cord injury during aortic surgery. Her current research interests are valvular heart disease and aortic surgery.
