Dr. Jagdip Kang has been a resident in cardiac surgery and critical care at the University Department of Cardiac Surgery, Leipzig Heart Center, since 2019. He earned his medical degree from the University of Leipzig in 2018 and completed his doctoral thesis on developing an animal model for biofilm-infected wound healing. Currently, he is a postdoctoral research fellow in cardiac surgery and echocardiography at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His research interests include valvular heart disease, coronary artery bypass surgery, myocardial protection during cardiopulmonary bypass, and the application of AI in cardiac surgery.
